Okay to start off this review I would like to say at first I was really impressed with these bushings. They were really responsive, and just like everyone claims, they don't have a break in period. They are great right out of the box. HOWEVER, after a couple days of skating, the bushings start to pop out. So for Bones sake, I ordered another set of bushings just to see if it was just a defective set. Same problem, a few days later they to start popping out of that plastic built in washer they have. I was not impressed with the durability of these bushings at all. IF Bones can fix this problem, I would say yes, these are the best bushings. For now, i'm going to stick with the 100a Doh-Doh bushings from Shorty's. They are cheaper and last longer, in my opinion.

Husky Animal Hat with Mittens Review

It's definitely cute. It came with the scarf folded in to each other, however, and the paw prints look to have bled onto the white fleece leaving a dingy bluish appearance. It also came smelling a little funky, so I'll attempt to wash it and see how it comes out. That should take care of all of the extra fuzz / loose hairs that were covering it as well. The picture shows a husky with black eyes, and the hat I received has yellow eyes. Not a deal breaker, I guess. The length of scarf is perfect though. My arms can be fully extended at the side (5'4" frame), and my hands fit right in. I'm a little disappointed (especially since the price decreased by nearly $10 a mere 3 days after I bought it) but not enough to send it back.

Edited 11/20/11: Since I have washed the hood, the fur is much softer and the funky smell is now gone. The white fleece underside of the scarf portion still looks a tab dingy, but the bleeding from the paw prints was washed away.

Columbia Men's Cubist 2.0 Jacket, Fuse Green, X-Large Review

As someone whose idea of cold is in the 60s, and "are you kidding me?" weather is in the 40s, I was kind of nervous about my recent (October 2012) trip to Colorado. I intended on doing the typical touristy scenic drives and hikes: Pikes Peak, Rocky Mountain National Park,etc. Besides an impractical leather jacket, I only had a light fleece jacket, and I knew that I would have to get something that would be more warm and provide some protection against the possible nasty weather changes. I actually ended up going to Outdoor world and tried on several jackets, and finally decided on the Cubist 2.0 from Columbia. It was relatively light, was warm without being too stuffy, looked great, and was around the middle of the road price-wise (my shopping philosophy). I did a quick scan on Amazon's iPhone app, and noticed it was the same price on their site ($180), so I purchased it without regret. Upon getting home, I double checked on the website, and noticed the price was much lower, so I ended up returning the jacket to Outdoor World, and purchased it from here. Even with express shipping, I saved > $60 which was a win in my book! Weird that the app didn't show Amazon's discount price though...
As for the jacket itself, it performed excellently during the trip. At first the weather wasn't too cold, which was disappointing, as I wanted to get some use out of the jacket. As soon as I drove up to the Rocky Mountain trails however, the temperature soon dipped into the 30-40s, and it gave me an excellent opportunity to try it out. I will say I was absolutely impressed with the comfort and quality of the jacket. When it started snowing on one of the trails (my first time seeing snow, by the way), I felt extremely comfortable with only a long sleeve shirt on underneath. I never felt like it was too stuffy or bulky, it always felt just right. I won't get into all the technical details of how awesome and futuristic this jacket is, suffice it to say that a lot of research went into making this an ideal jacket for cold weather. I joke with my friends that it's a jacket from the future, and I actually don't feel that's an inaccurate assessment. I felt like I could have been out in the snow all day and would have felt just as comfortable as when i first put it on in the store. I have gotten many compliments from family and friends regarding the comfort, quality, and look of the jacket (I bought the black and grey model). I am absolutely pleased with my purchase, and even though the chances of me wearing it down in sunny south Florida are pretty slim, I look forward to my next cold weather adventure!

Deluxe Diver Tool & Repair Kit Review

This kit needs to be updated. The wrenches are SAE and should be metric and they don't fit any of my gear. The adjustable wrench may be useful on exposed parts. The allen wrenches and two screwdrivers should be replaced with a set of bits and a driver. Would like to see more o rings. So I've made some of the suggested mods and have already used the kit.
