These gloves are great for my 6 year old, because of the draw string that tightens the glove around the arm. I cannot tell you how many times, before buying these gloves, that I had to take off my sons glove to get the snow out, or it would just be falling off, and I would then have to go through the process of tucking the glove back under the jacket. It seemed like every 5 minutes I was doing this.

I put THESE gloves on him once, while we're getting bundled up, and I did not have to stop once after that to fix his gloves. He did not complain at all about his hands being cold, or there being snow in is gloves, or that his glove came un-tucked, exposing skin. Nothing. I (we) love these!

These gloves are great quality, are fully lined, and waterproof.

For reference on size, my son is six and average height and weirght; I ordered Kids Medium which fit him perfect.
