These skates are super fun and fast. Their look is modern, feminine and I like the metal wheel bar. The wheels glide over sticks and rocks like nothings there and on semi bumpy roads there is no eyeball vibration (Huge Plus!). Braking is a breeze due to the brake extender. Luckily, these positive attributes out weigh a few annoying qualities with skate. First and far most, the "Speed Lace" is not speedy at all, it's cheap and is not easy to tighten. It's actually velcroed to the boot tongue and the laces are just plain in the way. What happened to the pull/zip mechanism at the back of the boot? That was the best skate invention ever. Please bring that back Rollerblade! OK, back to the review... Another downer is the comfort. Where the tongue meets the inside of the boot, there is thick material on the edge which jabs into my shins. I'm hoping over time that goes away, but for now is hurts! On a positive note, the lower portion of this boot fits to shoe size perfectly and I love the air holes for circulation in the front of the boot. Conclusion: This skate is wayyy better than the Rollerblade Women's 2013 Spark W Comp Inline Skates (see my Amazon 2 star review) and should last a lot longer too (better quality). I'd recommend them for beginners to experts.
