Because of the low price I was expecting the cheap flimsy caliper brakes found on $50 kids bikes that can be bent from pulling the brake lever too hard. I was surprised to find that the brakes are actually pretty good quality. These will serve as good replacements for the average rider. These are better quality than the brakes that come on any new department store bike with caliper brakes. Not as nice as the brakes that cost $25-$50 a piece, but they will get the job done and seem pretty durable.

This package came with front and rear calipers (with pads), front and rear brake cables and housings, left and right brake levers, and crimp on cable ends so the brake cables don't fray.

The rear cable housing is about 57" long while the front cable housing is a little over 25". Cable housings can be shortened, just pull the metal end off, cut with cable or diagonal cutters and replace the end. When cutting the cable itself cable cutters are best, if your cutting tool isn't sharp enough the cable end will want to fray when you cut it. If it does just twist it back together and crimp on the cable ends.

Really for the price this can't be beat. The set of brakes alone would have been worth the $20 or so the whole package cost. Now if only it qualified for free super shipping.

Haven't tried them on multiple bikes yet, but the pads can be adjusted up or down pretty far, so they should fit most 20"-26" bikes. Not sure about any smaller tire sizes though.
