This is the only board I've ever been on so I have nothing to compare it to, but I absolutely love it. I am boarding on creeks and rivers with my DOG. Seriously, this board is big enough to handle a 130 lb gal, her dog, a dry bag, and a spare paddle. It is durable enough for shallow rock laden creeks and handles moderate river hydraulics well. I don't think you can do any better for the price of this board. My only complaint is that when I tipped the board over to drain the little bit of water out of it, the plug catch failed, popped out, and drifted off into the creek. I am using a wine cork to keep the drain hole plugged.
