Have to disagree with the other reviewer. We found these wrist guards to be very well constructed and sturdy, and thought they were a real bargain - we tried one set and are buying more for our other kids (we're going to try the elbow and knee pads as well). They are lightyears better than the cheap crap you usually get in sets with little kids skates. We have 3 kids and have tried several different sets of protective gear before finding these. These wrist guards are easy to put on and once on they stay there and stay in position providing excellent protection. They are quite adjustable and can fit a wide range of sizes - I've had the one pair on my 3, 5, and 7 year olds. They are also very well-made and sturdy. My wife an I have roller-bladed for 20 years off and on, at times doing 20-30 miles 2-3 times weekly. We have some experience with this kind of stuff and these wrist guards are comparable in quality (maybe better frankly) to what we use ourselves. Given that my last pair cost about $25 (10 years ago or so) these are a bargain. BUT, my kids did need aminute or two of my help to get them on and properly adjusted. Most little kids probably wouldn't be able to put these on properly by themselves and unsupervised, however most of them probably wouldn't be able to put the cheap useless ones on properly either.
