Got this jacket last week. I was a little on the fence since it doesn't have a hood, but the more I wear it, the more I like it. I was debating between the orange or the color called Mystery, both look better in person than in the pictures. The orange is a rust orange, not a bright orange. I ultimately chose Mystery, which is like a steel blue-green or steel teal color.I really like the jacket. It has a nice, soft feel to it unlike a lot of jackets that can feel or sound very crinkly, and it has a clean, smart look about it. It has quality construction. I'm a big fan of the omni-heat technology, which looks a little odd because it is little reflective dots on the inside lining, but it certainly works to keep me warm. It works like those emergency survival blankets. This jacket also has an excellent wind blocking ability that they call omni-wind block. It's much better than my Arcteryx jacket.
The jacket has two zippered hand pockets on the outside as well as a zippered chest pocket. There are also two inside pockets that would be perfect for holding envelopes/mail or folded documents since they are very long and they don't have a closure/fastener. Otherwise, I don't know if I would ever use them. It has an adjustable elastic drawstring hem at the bottom and the end of the sleeves have a Velcro strip to cinch those to fit your wrists. Also, the material is a bit stretchy, so it's super easy to get on and off.
I do wish it had a hood and while it is water resistant, it is not fully waterproof. It seems like light to moderate rain would be ok, but heavy rain would soak it after a short while. I gladly give that up for the feel and look of the jacket. It's a little longer then my other jackets, the bottom ends just around or slightly over my jeans pockets, which isn't a negative, just an observation.
It fits true to size. I'm typically a small, and the small fits me well, not tight but not bunchy.
Overall, it's a really nice jacket and my new favorite go-to jacket this fall and winter.
