I was kind of worried that these might be more of a kid-level product, but I was pleasantly surprised when I received them. They have a nice, almost gel-like feel, yet aren't too "squishy" and still allow a firm grip on the handlebars. I bought a good Trek bike a while ago and the factory grips were so hard and unforgiving your hands would start to go numb after just a few miles. These ones have much better vibration dampening ... I rode twice as far with them and was still perfectly comfortable. The grooved rubber design also allows good ventilation, so no problem with sweat on hot, humid Florida days like I've run into with others. I used these on a nice hybrid/road bike, so I sliced off the big lip at the inner end of the grip and also the end cap so I could add bar ends ... the grooves in the rubber make trimming them to the length you need easy with a straight-edge razor blade.
