I picked these up because I needed some new skate shoes, and they reminded me of the ones I wore 5 years ago or so. The main difference now being that they are Hemp instead of the leather (pleather, I don't quite remember). Either way I was excited to see that these shoes were still available, and were to be had so cheaply here on Amazon (sorry Journeys for being my shoe test-fit guinea pig).

Onto the shoes. The shoes to be expected took awhile for me to break in. The sole remained quite stiff for about 2 weeks or so. Not a big deal, and to be expected. After riding around a bit on my motorcycle trials bike, it completely broke them in. Obviously not their intended use, but it softened them up a bit and brought them to a great comfortable state. The look on them is IMO great. I know 95% of the people that are buying skate shoes are buying them for the looks. So do yourself a favor, and get the shoes that still maintain a good deal of class to them. These shoes can easily be worn in a "dressier" situation, and I've had no ill comments as to them looking haggard with casual pants.

The other part of these shoes that drew me to them was the fact that all new skate shoes have gone to this completely terrible flat "old school" type shoe. I'm not sure who brought on this look\style\whatever you want to call it. That style shoe just doesn't work right, and are uncomfortable. Now don't get me wrong. I know that these shoes aren't exactly praised by Podiatrists. They don't have any arch really, but actually have some "shape" to them. I enjoy this in a shoe. Now if you're anything like me with skating, you will have a tendency to somehow roll your ankles with ease. I know this can be remedied with wearing my shoes looser, but then things just get sloppy. This is to me the best feature of these shoes. With them being a sort of mid-top shoe, they have saved me from many a rolled ankle.

The reason I gave them a 4\5 though is due to the fact that on the velcro strap on my left foot, the velcro has separated from the fabric. I did nothing weird, and the only thing I can think of is that I caught it on something and it pulled it up. This is not a big deal, doesn't hurt function, and isn't really noticeable until I remove the shoes.

All in all one of my favorite shoes, and now I'm wishing I had picked up another pair at the 40$ price. Such is life.

Very happy with performance and ease of installation/removal. The design is better than old Cat Tracks - material is thicker, heel strap has a loop which makes it easy to grab, slightly elevated towards the center of the boot that allows your foot to "roll". Unique design for left and right sides (marked on center strap). Toe section nests into heel section making the set compact for storing while you are skiing (put into you backpack or fanny pack or jacket) - slightly larger when packed than Cat Tracks.

I've used several balaclavas. This is the one I prefer the most.

I don't like the other balaclavas that have the stiff nose pieces, or the perforated foam mouth piece. They can only be worn one way.

This one does fog up glasses if you wear it over your nose, but the beauty of this is you don't have to. You can pull it under your nose or under your chin while still keeping your ears and head covered. Alternatively, you can cover your nose and mouth, but not the top of your head. You can wear it as a beanie, or you can just wear it around your neck. Simply, it's super versatile.

It's thicker than my old Outdoor Research Ninjaclava that I lost, but it still fits underneath my bicycle and motorcycle helmets. Now, riding down the highway on my motorcycle in winter, my head and neck are warm.

Moose Black Pintail Longboard Complete Review

Got this board in the other day as my first longboard, packaged fairly in an enormously large box. Like all complete boards ordered it required a bit of tightening and un-tightening on the trucks. I never tried out the bearings because I immediately switched it to Bone Red's. The deck has a clean bouncy feel with a very glossy but not to fancy paint job (definitely gonna paint a bit on it). I can't ride outside yet cause I live in Alaska and there's still a ton of snow here but just by riding around a lil in the house it rolls very smoothly and am quite impressed by price and the quality. I am not an expert but this feels like a beginner board or an intermediate board if you buy parts over time. My next upgrade to it will be new Randal trucks because the ones on this board don't look very straight. The wheels are very soft so you wont be sliding on these wheels anytime soon, also one of my wheels has an offset rim to it so it wobbles fairly noticeably, bad designer flaw. They aren't anything fancy to be honest, I don't even see a name brand. Very grippy sandpaper on the top of deck and I love the length of it as well. (42 inches) can't wait to hit the roads with this and it should be a blast, if you want a good cheap board this is the one. any questions just comment on my post. Happy riding and God bless.
