I bought these to wear for roller derby. I feel protected. They have extra padding and the shell has more coverage. The sizing is good. There is a seam on the inside that has some plastic or something that is scratchy and hard and it rubs my arm. It gets a little uncomfortable after awhile. Other than that, these are the best brand of pads I've gotten for the sport. I'd recommend them over protec, triple 8, and 187.
